Sanaa, UN discuss enhancing cooperation of various aspects

SANAA, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Acting Minister of Foreign in the Sanaa government, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, met on Sunday with Mohammed Al-Ghannam, the director of the UN envoy’s office in Sanaa, to discuss on various aspects of cooperation between two sides.

During the meeting, Abu Ras stressed that the silence of the UN and the international community regarding the crime of targeting the head of the government and his companions reflected a blatant bias toward the Zionist entity and encouraged it to continue committing further war crimes in Yemen and other countries in the region.

The charge d’ affaires stressed the need for the special envoy to maintain an equal distance from all parties, not to ignore the unilateral actions of the coalition’s tools that harm citizens and exacerbate the economic and humanitarian situation, and to make serious efforts to advance the peace process.

Abu Ras stressed the need for the UN and humanitarian organizations to respect Yemen’s sovereignty, national laws, and humanitarian principles.

In turn, the UN official reiterated the United Nations’ commitment to continuing its efforts to achieve peace in Yemen.
