Gunman killed in Shabwa armed clashes

SHABWA, Sept. 06 (YPA) – A tribal gunman was killed and another wounded on Saturday in armed clashes that erupted in Shabwa province, which is under the control of Emirati-backed armed factions.

Local sources said the clashes broke out between the two tribes of Al Shams Rabeizi and Al Madqa Rabeizi in the Amhadan area of Al Hatib district.

‘The situation kept tense between the tribal gunmen amid the absence of state authorities and the widespread security chaos across the province’s various districts,’ the sources added.

The sources accused leaders of the UAE-funded factions of fueling conflict and blood feuds among Shabwa tribesmen and supplying loyalist tribes with money and weapons, thus strengthening their influence in the province.
