Senior Sanaa commander reveals nature of Yemen response on Israeli aggression

SANAA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – Brig. Gen. Mohammed al-Sharif, an advisor to the Ministry of Defense in Sanaa, said the Israeli aggression that targeted the Sanaa government and its civilian ministers would not go unanswered.

Al-Sharif told Yemen Press Agency on Sunday that Sanaa forces would respond forcefully and decisively, in accordance with the directives of Mahdi al-Mashat, the supreme commander of the armed forces in Sanaa.

He explained that the response would be part of a comprehensive approach to consolidating deterrence and protecting Yemen from any future Israeli aggression, in parallel with supporting the Axis of Resistance in various regional confrontation arenas.

“The Israeli targeting of the government in Sanaa and civilian ministers represents a major aggressive crime that confirms the enemy’s transition to a new phase of direct escalation against Yemen, having failed to break the will of our people or halt our naval and air operations against their entity,” Brig. Gen. Al-Sharif added.

He affirmed that the Israeli aggression crime would not affect the preparedness, but rather increase the armed forces’ determination to continue on the path of deterrence and qualitative escalation, in parallel with the open battle being waged by the Axis of Resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran.

“What doses Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi say in his speech about the unity of the fronts is not a slogan, but rather a comprehensive military and political action program being implemented on the ground, Al-Sharif clarified.

Al-Sharif concluded his statement by saying: “The enemy’s bet on breaking Sanaa through raids or assassinations is a losing bet, and it will discover that Yemen, with all its factions and forces, is more resilient today than ever before.”
