Death toll from Zionist aggression on Gaza rises to 62,966, with 159,266 wounded

GAZA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – The hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 71 martyrs and 339 wounded in the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombardment, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the strip.

The ministry noted in its daily report that many victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulances and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them.

The total number of martyrs since October 7, 2023, has reached 62,966, while the number of wounded raised to 159,266.

The report also stated that 22 martyrs and 203 wounded from aid victims arrived at hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of “livelihood” victims arriving at hospitals to 2,180 dead and more than 16,046 wounded.

Gaza hospitals recorded four new deaths due to starvation and malnutrition, including two children, bringing the total number of deaths due to starvation to 317, including 121 children.
