SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Three members of the 44th Division of the New Syrian Army, including commanders, were killed in a mysterious explosion that occurred in the al-Dreij area in the Damascus countryside, according to local Syrian media, noting that other injuries were recorded, the number of which is not yet known.
The nature of the explosion and its causes are still unclear.
In a separate incident, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored yesterday an unidentified drone targeting a Syrian army military vehicle, which was equipped with a heavy machine gun, near the al-Salama roundabout in the center of Deir Ezzor city.
The Observatory confirmed that the targeting resulted in only material damage, with no injuries among soldiers or civilians present at the scene.
These two incidents come amid an escalation in the frequency of mysterious attacks targeting sites and vehicles belonging to the Syrian forces in various areas of Syria.
