SANAA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, stressed that the Zionist entity posed an existential threat to the security and stability of the region and its countries.
In a news conference on Monday, Baghaei said, according to a report by the Iranian News Agency, IRNA, that all countries in the region had become more vigilant than before regarding the continued expansionist tendencies of this entity. “If these tendencies are not curbed, the region will inevitably face endless wars.”
“The most significant development in the region is the genocide in occupied Palestine, which continues unabated,” he added. “In recent days, we have witnessed the occupation government’s decision to completely evacuate Gaza City and forcibly displace nearly a million people to the southern part of the Strip. ”
Baghaei went on to say: “This action is taking place while Gaza’s residents suffer from food and medicine shortages and hunger, according to statistics, at least 70 to 80 innocent people are martyred daily by the Zionist entity.”
“The international community has unanimously rejected the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents, and regional countries have also taken a firm stance against this measure,” Baqaei added. “However, we know that the Zionist entity, with the full support of America and the guarantee of continued impunity for its heinous crimes, still has been insisting on continuing these measures; measures that are in fact the continuation of the plan for genocide and the erasure of Palestine as an identity and a people.”
