SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Sunday, that the Israeli occupation army carried out a series of incursions into villages in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, amid intense airstrikes in the region.
According to the Observatory, a patrol consisting of ten Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Ain Ziwan in the southern Quneitra countryside, simultaneously with the incursion of another patrol into the village of Ofaniya in the northern Quneitra countryside, where it set up a temporary checkpoint on the Ofaniya-Al-Hurriyah road.
A third military force also intruded into the village of Saida al-Hanout in the southern countryside of the governorate.
The Observatory indicated that these movements come within the framework of a series of ongoing Israeli military activities on the border strip with the occupied Syrian Golan, amid escalating fears of a possible security explosion in the region.
