QUDS, July 29 (YPA) – Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday morning, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.
According to the Islamic Waqf Department, dozens of settlers raided the holy Islamic Mosque from al-Maghariba gate and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards.
The settlers reportedly received briefings about the so-called “Temple Mount” and performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the mosque’s eastern area, all under the protection of Israeli forces.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation police intensified restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, seizing their ID cards at the mosque’s gates and limiting their access.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to almost daily incursions by the Zionist settlers, except on Saturday and Sunday, which are done under the heavy guard of the Israeli police and are carried out twice a day; morning and evening, in an attempt to divide the mosque spatially and temporally between Muslims and Jews.
