SANAA, July 24 (YPA) – Scattered showers occurred on Thursday in several areas of the capital, Sanaa.
The Meteorology and Early Warning Center expected that there would be a chance to cover several areas in the provinces of Saada, Ibb, Dhamar, Taiz, and Dhalea, as well as Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Bayda, Lahj and Abyan.
It pointed out that the weather in the coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy and hot during the day with the possibility of scattered rains in the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the eastern coasts and the corresponding inland areas.
The center noted that the winds may be strong in the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, the southern and eastern coasts, and the entrance to the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
It stated that the desert regions would experience clear skies with low clouds and active winds.
The center reiterated its warning to citizens in areas where rainfall expected to be severe, warning them against thunderstorms and crossing or entering floodwaters during and after rainfall.
