DHAMAR, July 23 (YPA) – The stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar recorded a marine earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale in the Owen Fault in the middle of the Gulf of Aden, on Wednesday.

The head of the center, Engineer Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, explained that the marine earthquake struck the Gulf of Aden at a depth of 10 km at one o’clock in the afternoon.

The Houthi engineer indicated in a post on Facebook that the earthquake came after the stations detected two earthquakes at dawn today, the first measuring 3.9 degrees, and the second measuring 4.0 degrees in Ethiopia.
