Pro-Palestine supporters rally in Greece against arrival of Israeli tourists

ATHENS, July 22 (YPA) – Hundreds of Israeli tourists arriving on a ship at the port of Syros in Greece found themselves confronted by protesters against the genocidal war on Gaza.

Photos and videos were circulated by activists showing dozens of pro-Palestinian Greeks waving a huge Palestinian flag at the port, while Israeli tourists on board the ship were waving the Israeli flag.

The private Israeli Channel 12 reported that the giant ship, Crown Iris, belonging to the Manu Shipping company, arrived at Syros port in Greece and was greeted by hundreds of protesters who raised a huge Palestinian flag and chanted against the Israeli occupation and the ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The channel noted that the protesters were not pleased with the presence of the Israeli ship in Greece, and said on social media that it was unacceptable for Israeli tourists to continue to be received here while Palestinians are suffering in the Strip.
