Hamas holds Israeli occupation responsible for Dr. Al-Hams’s life

GAZA, July 21 (YPA) – Hamas Movement considered the Israeli occupation’s kidnapping of the director of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Marwan al-Hams, on Monday as an escalation in the ongoing criminal targeting of the medical sector and its personnel through killing, arrest, or terrorizing.

The movement condemned in a statement the abduction of Dr. al-Hams and the direct shooting at the ambulance transporting him and his companions while he was visiting a field hospital affiliated with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the city of Rafah.

The statement held the occupation fully responsible for his life, along with hundreds of medical personnel detained under inhumane conditions.

It called on the international community and its institutions, primarily the ICRC and the World Health Organization (WHO), to condemn this crime, pressure the release of the detained doctors, and confront the crime of genocide targeting all forms of life in the Gaza Strip.
