ADEN, July 16 (YPA) – Aden International Airport employees protested in front of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology building in Aden Governorate, southern Yemen, to demand the improvement of their working and living conditions.
The protesters held up banners calling for the fulfillment of their demands, which they described as legitimate and just, most notably obtaining job numbers and settling their financial situations like their colleagues.
The protesters called for expediting healthcare procedures and contracting with a health insurance company that guarantees they receive the necessary medical services, stressing that the delay in these procedures exposes many of them to increasing suffering.
The protesters also demanded the formation of a new independent union representing the employees of the Civil Aviation Authority in Aden, working to defend their rights, and following up on their cases with the relevant authorities in an organized and effective manner.
