Six people injured in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon

BEIRUT, July 15 (YPA) – Six people were injured on Tuesday in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, in a new escalation that threatens to re-ignite tensions on Lebanon’s northern front.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that it received six wounded as a result of Israeli airstrikes on the eastern mountain chain southeast of Baalbek. Medical teams continue to provide first aid and transport the wounded to nearby hospitals.

The National News Agency had previously reported that the Israeli warplanes had carried out an airstrike on the eastern mountain chain of the Baalbek district of the Beqaa Valley, noting that significant material damage had occurred in the targeted areas.
