BRUSSELS, July 15 (YPA) – European Union (EU) foreign ministers discussed a set of potential measures against “Israel” over human rights violations in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, but none are expected to be adopted at this stage.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas presented a list of ten proposed measures, including the complete suspension of the cooperation agreement with the Israeli entity, reduced trade relations, sanctions on Israeli ministers, an arms embargo, and a ban on visa-free travel to the EU.
Kallas explained that these proposals came after it was confirmed that “Israel” had violated the cooperation agreement with the EU in areas related to human rights.
However, diplomats are unlikely to reach any decision at the meeting, given internal divisions among member states over how to deal with “Israel.”
