Assailants attack pro-UAE leader’s car in Aden

ADEN, July 13 (YPA) – Unidentified assailants set fire to the car of a leader of the UAE-backed factions in the early hours of Sunday in the center of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources reported that the assailants threw a bottle of gasoline at the car of Adel Salem al-Shabhi, a journalist with the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s Third Support and Reinforcement Brigade.

The car was parked in front of his home in the al-Arish neighborhood of Khor-Maksar district, and the assailants set it on fire before fleeing.

The sources indicated that citizens tried to extinguish the fires, but to no avail, while the identity of the perpetrators remains unknown.
