Sanaa navy sinks Eternity C, rescues its crew

SANAA, July 09 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces announced on Wednesday that it had targeted the ship ‘ETERNITY C’, which was heading to the port of Umm al-Rashrash in occupied Palestine.

Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie said in a statement that the naval forces targeted the ship using an unmanned boat and six cruise and ballistic missiles, completely sinking the vessel.

He added that the operation was documented with audio and video.

The spokesman indicated that a group of Navy special forces responded to rescue a number of the ship’s crew, providing them with medical care and transporting them to a safe location.

“Targeting the aforementioned vessel came after the company it belongs to and the vessel had resumed operations with Umm al-Rashrash port, in clear violation of the ban on operations with the aforementioned port,” Sarie clarified. The attack on the vessel came after it efused calls and warnings from the Yemeni naval forces.”

Brig. Gen. Sarie said that the armed forces would continue to prevent Israeli shipping in the Red and Arabian Seas, warning all companies of dealing with the Israeli ports in the occupied Palestine, and their ships would be targeted in any area the armed forces reach, regardless of the vessels’ destination.

He explained that this position aimed to compel the Zionist enemy and those behind it to lift the siege on Gaza, cease their aggression, and end the ongoing genocide.

The spokesman reiterated that military operations would continue in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their steadfast resistance, which defends the entire nation, until the aggression against is stopped in Gaza ceases and the siege lifted.
