Thousands of French people demonstrate for Gaza

SANAA, July 09 (YPA) – Thousands of people demonstrated in the French capital, Paris, in response to the call of a number of human rights and humanitarian organizations to denounce the ongoing Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip and to protest what they described as the “inaction of Western governments” in the face of what is happening on the ground, in a striking scene that carried strong political and humanitarian connotations.

The protesters formed a “large human red line” in the Place de la République in eastern Paris, wearing red clothes in a symbolic reference to the bloodshed in the besieged Strip for years, which has been subjected for more than a year and a half to a large-scale Israeli occupation aggression that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and chanted in a unified voice: “We are all the children of Gaza,” in a message of solidarity with the victims, especially children who make up about half of the Strip’s population and who are paying the greatest price in this war.
