Israeli occupation forces arrest journalist Nasser Laham, refer him to Ofer Military Court

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 07 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces arrested prominent Palestinian journalist Nasser Laham at dawn on Monday from his home in the city of Bethlehem, south of the West Bank.

Media sources reported that the arrest was accompanied by a deliberate vandalism campaign, including the destruction of furniture and the confiscation of his personal cell phones.

The Palestinian Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs stated that the occupation authorities decided to extend the detention of imprisoned journalist Nasser Laham and refer him to the Ofer Military Court until next Thursday.

The arrest of Laham, who serves as the director of the Al-Mayadeen Network’s office in occupied Palestine and the editor-in-chief of the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency, is part of the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian journalists, aimed at silencing free voices exposing crimes and violations against the Palestinian people amid the ongoing escalation in the West Bank.

Al-Mayadeen Media Network condemned the occupation’s arrest of its office director in occupied Palestine, calling on the Palestinian and Arab press community to raise their voices and express solidarity with him, demanding his immediate release.
