50 Mossad-run spies arrested in Iran

TEHRAN, July 01 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared on Tuesday the arrest of 50 people accused of espionage and subversive activities linked to Israeli Mossad and the killing of two others over the past two weeks in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

In a statement, IRGC affirmed that it also had confiscated a quantity of weapons and ammunition, including American equipment.

The statement revealed that these collaborators with Mossad were planning to carry out sabotage operations against the country’s infrastructure and economic centers.

Since the Israeli aggression on June 13, Iranian authorities have continued to arrest agents and spies in various provinces.

In this context, Iran’s Judiciary Spokesperson, Asghar Jahangir, confirmed on Monday that the Israeli occupation had attempted to target internal security through a network of hostile actors and spies, with the goal of creating chaos and sabotage, in addition to military attacks.

He emphasized that these plots were failed thanks to the meticulous measures taken by the judicial and security services.

Jahangir explained that urgent orders had been issued to form special judicial branches in various provinces to pursue the treacherous elements and to begin pursuing virtual accounts linked to the occupation, in cooperation with the relevant security agencies.
