Newsweek: US missile defense stockpiles depleted to protect “Israel”

WORLD, June 29 (YPA) – US air  and missile defense systems have been significantly depleted in order to protect “Israel”, The American magazine Newsweek reported.

The magazine noted that “Israel” has long relied on the American THAAD system to defend itself against missiles from Iran and Yemen.

It explained that the United States used 20% of its global stockpile of THAAD missiles to protect “Israel” during the recent confrontation with Iran, adding that the THAAD system failed several times to intercept Yemeni missiles targeting “Israel.”
