Israeli official: Extensive damage to Bat Yam settlement is unprecedented in Israel’s history

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 28 (YPA) – The mayor of the settlement of Bat Yam in “Tel Aviv”, Tzvika Brot, announced the extent of the extensive destruction the settlement suffered as a result of the recent Iranian bombing.

During an interview with the Israeli Channel 10, Brot explained that Bat Yam had suffered “the harshest blow in its history,” noting that a neighborhood covering 120 dunams (40 acres) was completely destroyed.

He added that the Iranian bombing in just one day caused unprecedented destruction, making it the most devastating in “Israel” as a whole, not just in Bat Yam.

Brot noted that the strike damaged an area of up to 160 dunams (40 acres) and that of the 120 buildings damaged, 20 will be completely demolished next week, confirming the destruction of an entire neighborhood.

He continued, saying that surrounding buildings were also damaged, even those that were not directly hit, adding that the strike left approximately 2,000 people homeless.

The Iranian attack targeted areas south of Tel Aviv, causing extensive damage to the settlement of Bat Yam due to a large number of rockets falling, with six people killed and 200 others injured.
