WASHINGTON, June 28 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump said he is not concerned about the existence of secret nuclear sites in Iran.
In his remarks Friday evening, he indicated that he might consider bombing Iran again if it resumes uranium enrichment.
Observers believe that Trump’s statements reflect an implicit acknowledgment of the difficulty of eliminating Iran’s nuclear program while Tehran continues to maintain its nuclear capabilities.
Separately, CNN reported a US intelligence report indicating that the airstrikes carried out by the US military last week on three Iranian nuclear facilities did not significantly damage the Iranian nuclear program’s infrastructure and are believed to have delayed it only by a few months.
This report prompted Trump to threaten lawsuits against CNN and other US media outlets for publishing information that contradicted his account of the destruction of Iranian nuclear facilities.
