European meteorological center expects dryness in various regions of Yemen

SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – Weather models released by the European website Meteologix indicate that drought conditions will continue across various Yemeni regions until the end of June, in the absence of significant humid conditions affecting the country’s climate.

According to cumulative forecasts issued on Friday, June 20, 2025, rainfall opportunities will remain limited and weak in the coming days, with small amounts recorded in some central and western highlands, while dry conditions will persist in most coastal and desert areas.

Seasonal forecasts indicate a clear improvement in weather conditions starting in the second half of July. Rainfall during August and September is expected to be above the annual average across large areas of the country, especially the mountainous highlands and inland regions.

These rains are expected to contribute to improving vegetation cover and strengthening water resources in some provinces. However, meteorologists have warned of the possibility of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas during the peak of the rainy season.
