Al-Aqsa Brigades implement operation in Khan Yunis, causing deaths in Israeli occupation ranks

GAZA, June 17 (YPA) – The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Al-Amoudi Brigade –  claimed on Tuesday responsibility for a special operation targeting an Israeli occupation army force attempting to take cover inside a house near Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Brigades confirmed that the operation led to the deaths and injuries of several Israeli soldiers.

The brigades stated in a military statement that its members coordinated the operation by planting highly explosive explosive devices, designed using reverse engineering techniques from the remains of Israeli warplanes.

The statement also explained that the resistance fighters blew up the house where the Israeli force had taken refuge and targeted the support forces that arrived at the site with mortar shells.

Separately, the Israeli occupation army acknowledged the death of the deputy commander of a company in the combat engineering battalion, Tal Moshevich, during the operation but has not yet revealed the full number of casualties among its soldiers.

This operation comes amid escalating field activity by Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza, coinciding with the ongoing Israeli occupation ground incursions, and air and artillery bombardment of cities and camps in the Strip.
