Death toll from Iranian missile strikes on “Israel” rises to 19

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 16 (YPA) – Israeli Army Radio announced on Monday that the death toll from the Iranian missile strikes on various areas in the Israeli-occupation territories has risen to 19 since the start of the military confrontation with Iran.

Israeli Channel 12 had earlier confirmed that Israeli casualties from Iranian missile strikes in central Israel had risen to five, with the fifth victim found under rubble in Petah Tikva, northeast of Tel Aviv.

On Friday, Israel launched a surprise series of missile and drone strikes across multiple Iranian regions, carrying out several assassinations targeting senior military commanders in the army and the Revolutionary Guards and around 14 nuclear scientists.

On Sunday, Israeli occupation forces expanded the scope of its attacks both geographically and strategically. One strike hit Mashhad Airport in eastern Iran, while others targeted a building housing the Foreign Ministry and police headquarters in Tehran, in addition to oil facilities and electronics factories.

The Iranian Health Ministry announced on Sunday evening that the Israeli attacks have killed at least 224 people and injured over 1,000 since they began.
