Wave of Iranian missile strikes causes heavy casualties, damage across “Israel”

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 16 (YPA) -In the early hours of Monday morning, a new wave of Iranian missile strikes caused significant human and material losses in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and across various parts of occupied Palestinian territories.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the death toll from the missile strikes in central “Israel” has risen to five. The fifth fatality was found beneath the rubble in Petah Tikva, northeast of Tel Aviv.

Arab media outlets confirmed that missiles also targeted the Nevatim Airbase near Tel Aviv.

The Iranian strikes additionally hit areas near the ammonia plant at the Port of Haifa and the Haifa power station, resulting in multiple injuries, according to Israel’s public broadcaster.

Meanwhile, UK-based maritime security firm Ambrey confirmed that Iranian forces launched ballistic missile attacks targeting infrastructure at the Port of Haifa.

Israel’s emergency services reported a total of 100 injuries and five fatalities across the impacted areas.

Loud explosions were also heard in Jerusalem, while missile barrages stretched from the northern Galilee to the southern city of Eilat, according to Israeli media.

The Israeli occupation military announced it had detected a fresh wave of missile launches from Iran and urged the public to remain in shelters until further notice. Later, the military acknowledged that air defenses had failed to intercept at least 10 Iranian missiles in the Tel Aviv and Haifa areas.
