Gaza Hospitals Face Imminent “Mass Death” Due to Fuel Shortage

GAZA, June 09 (YPA) – Dr. Munir al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, confirmed on Monday that hospitals in the Strip are on the verge of complete collapse due to the severe shortage of fuel and electricity.

Dr. Al-Bursh warned that vital departments such as intensive care, emergency, and incubators will witness “mass death” within the next 48 hours if fuel is not delivered immediately.

He explained that the remaining fuel supply is not sufficient for more than two days and that the destruction of oxygen stations and the fuel shortage are disrupting all vital health services.

Dr. Al-Bursh described the situation as catastrophic, noting that hospitals will turn into “cemeteries” in light of this severe shortage that threatens the lives of patients, especially children in incubators. He also pointed to a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
