GAZA, June 06 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces, with the support of an American security company, committed a massacre on Friday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, in the city of Rafah, south of Gaza, killing eight people and wounding 61 near an aid distribution center.
According to the government media office in Gaza, the death toll since these centers began operating in May has risen to 110, with 583 wounded, and nine missing.
The centers, under the control of the Israeli occupation, have been described as “death traps,” where civilians are lured before being deliberately targeted, in violation of international law, the office said in a statement.
The media office condemned these crimes, holding the occupation and the US administration responsible for using food as a weapon of mass destruction under the guise of “humanitarian aid.”
The statement called on the United Nations and the Security Council to intervene to stop the crimes and distribute aid through neutral international institutions. It also called for the formation of an international investigation committee.
The statement also rejected the so-called “buffer zones” and “humanitarian corridors,” considering them exposed targeting sites for civilians.
