SANAA, June 01 (YPA) – The Greek capital, Athens, witnessed a massive demonstration rejecting the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and in support of the Palestinian people.
Thousands of supporters of the Palestinian cause participated in the demonstration, which set off from central Athens toward the Israeli embassy, chanting slogans and chants denouncing the Israeli aggression and supporting Palestine and its right to freedom and independence.
The Greek Workers’ Union (YAMA) organized this peaceful demonstration, which was crowned by Arjowan Al-Farra, one of the wounded children from Gaza, who recited excerpts from the poem “On This Land There Is What Makes Life Worth Living” by the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.
