OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 01 (YPA) – Hebrew media reported Sunday evening that the occupation forces closed the airspace around Ben Gurion International Airport in the Lod area near Tel Aviv, following the launch of a new missile from Yemen towards the occupied Palestinian territories.
Sources reported that the decision came moments after air raid sirens were activated in large areas of central occupied Palestine, including Greater Tel Aviv and western occupied Quds (Jerusalem), following the detection of a missile trajectory believed to have been launched from Yemeni territory.
According to Israeli statistics, Yemeni forces have fired approximately 43 rockets toward various locations within the occupied territories since the Israeli occupation forces resumed their aggression on the Gaza Strip last March, in violation of the ceasefire agreement sponsored by international mediation.
The southern regions of occupied Palestine have been on frequent alert since the expansion of the regional confrontation, with the escalation of attacks coming from Yemen as part of military support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
