WHO reveals death toll of martyrs under the rubble of Gaza

GAZA, May 26 (YPA) – The World Health Organization confirmed that more than 10,000 bodies are buried under the rubble in the Gaza Strip, while 15,000 people need urgent medical evacuation.

Dr. Hanan Balkhi, the organization’s regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean, described the situation in Gaza as “catastrophic” during a press conference held in Geneva.

She added: “Our field teams confirm that this is the worst ever, and they have never witnessed a similar situation before.”

These statements come amid the ongoing Israeli blockade of Gaza since March 2, 2023.
