GAZA, May 27 (YPA) – The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation expressed its deep disappointment after its executive director, Jake Wood, resigned from his position.
This came at a particularly sensitive time, with the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip escalating alarmingly, according to CNN.
“Our efforts are facing increasing pressure from parties focused on obstructing our work rather than supporting the delivery of life-saving aid,” the foundation said In a statement, referring to what it described as systematic attempts to undermine relief work within the Strip.”
Humanitarian organization are facing increasing difficulties in carrying out their tasks amid what the United Nations describes as “catastrophic” conditions on the ground. The ongoing Israeli aggression and the disruption of aid deliveries are exacerbating the suffering of more than two million Palestinians in the stricken Gaza Strip.
