Civil Defense Authority extinguish fire in Sanaa, recover body of young man in Bayda

SANAA, BAYDA, May 26 (YPA) – The Civil Defense Authority in Sana’a reported on Monday that civil defense teams were able to extinguish a fire that broke out in a citizen’s home on Al-Zuraiqi Street in Bani Al-Harith district in the capital, Sana’a.

In its statement, the Authority confirmed that the civil defense teams succeeded in controlling the fire that broke out in the home of citizen Amin Abdullah Al-Hamidi and preventing it from spreading to the rest of the house and neighboring houses.

The Authority attributed the cause of the fire to an electrical short circuit.

In Bayda, the Authority announced that the diving and water rescue teams of the Civil Defense Authority were able to recover the body of citizen Muhammad Mazhar Al-Zayla’i, 30 years old, who fell into a well in Rada’a district.

The Civil Defense Authority renewed its call to all citizens to adhere to public security and safety procedures and standards in their homes, and to check exposed electrical wires.

The Authority also called on public works offices and all citizens to cover exposed wells that pose a danger to members of society due to the frequent cases of falling into them, to preserve the safety of society from the risks of falling and drowning.
