TAIZ, May 24 (YPA) – Women in the city of Taiz have held the Saudi-led coalition accountable for the deteriorating public services and worsening living conditions, calling for urgent solutions to the escalating water and electricity crises plaguing the city.
On Saturday, the city witnessed a protest led by women outside the offices of the coalition-affiliated authorities, voicing their frustration over the absence of basic services and the growing hardship experienced by residents.
The women of Taiz demanded immediate action to address the ongoing crises and accused the coalition of deliberately fostering these hardships, contributing to the city’s dire situation.
Protesters carried empty water containers as a poignant symbol of the severe water shortages and held signs condemning the collapse of essential services.
Residents of Taiz have long struggled with persistent power and water outages, challenges that have intensified during the summer months. During the protest, they urged local authorities to take responsibility and work towards restoring these critical services.
