OSLO, May 20 (YPA) – The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO), the country’s largest labor union, voted in favor of a comprehensive economic boycott of the Israeli occupation entity, including trade and investment.
The resolution was approved by 88% of the union members at its national conference in Oslo on May 8 and 9.
The resolution obliges the government pension fund, Norwegian companies, and financial institutions to divest from companies with links to the Israeli occupation.
This vote represents a strong declaration by the one-million-member confederation to support the boycott movement and pressure to end Israeli violations against Palestinians.
