GAZA, May 19 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that its fighters had ambushed three military vehicles of Israeli occupation forces advancing into the northern Gaza Strip, killing and wounding several Israeli soldiers.
In a brief military statement via Telegram, the Al-Qassam Brigades stated that the operation took place last Friday when its fighters targeted three Israeli military vehicles with two “Shawaz” explosive devices and a “tandem” missile in the Al-Atatra area, west of Beit Lahia, and then they engaged another Israeli force with light weapons and hand grenades, killing and wounding several of its personnel.
The Al-Qassam Brigades reported that its fighters monitored the landing of helicopters to evacuate the dead and wounded.
Earlier today, Palestinian sources revealed details of an Israeli force disguised as women infiltrating west of Salah al-Din Street, north of Khan Yunis, allegedly to reach Israeli prisoners.
The sources confirmed that the Israeli force failed to achieve its goal of reaching the prisoners and instead killed the Palestinian leader of the Al-Nasser Brigades, Salah al-Din Ahmed Sarhan, and kidnapped his wife and children.
