GAZA, May 19 (YPA) -A number of Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured on Sunday evening as the Israeli occupation continued its relentless bombing of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Safa news agency, three civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a tent sheltering displaced persons in western Khan Younis.
The agency also reported that two more people were killed and several others wounded in another Israeli strike on the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis.
In a separate incident, another civilian was killed in an Israeli bombardment on the town of Al-Fukhari, southeast of Khan Younis, while a woman was killed in Israeli artillery shelling in the Al-Zanah area of Bani Suheila, east of the city.
The report also noted that one woman was killed and others injured in an Israeli helicopter strike on a tent sheltering displaced individuals in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis.
The agency pointed to the continued incursion of Israeli military vehicles for the third consecutive day, accompanied by heavy artillery shelling and airstrikes between the towns of Al-Fukhari and Khuza’a in eastern Khan Younis.
In northern Gaza, six civilians were killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone targeted a group of people near “Al-Saroukh Roundabout” at the end of Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City.
Additionally, a woman was killed and others injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted a home belonging to the “Labbad” family in the Al-Faluja area of Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
With American support, “Israel” has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 171,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing, amid massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
