President of European Council: The massacres and siege in Gaza must end immediately

GAZA, May 18 (YPA) – European Council President, Antonio Costa, strongly criticized the Zionist entity’s attacks on the Gaza Strip and the siege imposed on civilians, describing what is happening as a humanitarian tragedy.

In a statement on social media, European Council President Antonio Costa expressed his deep shock at the continuing massacres in Gaza, saying: “I am shocked by the news coming from Gaza. Civilians are starving and hospitals are being bombed again. The violence must stop!”

Costa called for the immediate lifting of the blockade imposed on Gaza, demanding that humanitarian aid be allowed to reach them quickly, safely, and without any obstacles.

He said: “An entire people is facing overwhelming and disproportionate military force.”

“What is happening in Gaza is a true humanitarian tragedy. There is a systematic violation of international law, while civilians are left to face continuous bombardment without protection,” he added.
