TAIZ, May 18 (YPA) – A popular protest rally was staged on Sunday in the coalition-held Taiz city, demanding the arrest of the killer of the child, Marsal Eidrous.
Dozens of protesters, in a rally, held near the Taiz Governorate building on Jamal Street in the city center, held up banners condemning the crime and chanted slogans calling on the coalition-backed Aden government and its local authorities to immediately arrest the killer.
They emphasized that remaining silent about such crimes would open the door to further lawlessness and violence in a city already plagued by a proliferation of weapons and the absence of the rule of law.
About ten days ago, the child, Marsal, was killed by a man named Kamal Farhan Al-Sharabi, amid accusations that security personnel of concealing the murderer.
This crime was one in a long series of violations and extrajudicial killings in the city of Taiz, which is under the control of the Aden government.
