Al-Qassam Brigades target engineering force of Israeli occupation in Shujaiya

GAZA, May 13 (YPA) – The Ezz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” revealed that it carried out an offensive operation targeting an engineering force of the Israeli occupation army in the Shuja’iyya area east of Gaza City, as part of the escalating confrontations on various fronts in the Strip.

The Brigades said in a press statement, on Tuesday, that its fighters clashed with the “Israeli” force using light weapons and were able to kill the driver of a “Baqir” military vehicle during an operation carried out last Sunday.

The Brigades explained that the operation took place after its fighters returned from the direct confrontation line, confirming that a direct hit was achieved among the targeted force.

The Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that this operation comes within the framework of a series of ambushes and qualitative attacks carried out by its fighters recently in response to the ground incursions of the occupation forces in various areas of the Gaza Strip, especially in the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City.

The areas of Shuja’iyya, Al-Tuffah, and Al-Zaytoun witnessed violent clashes between the occupation forces and the Palestinian resistance during the past few days, coinciding with the continuation of the aerial and ground bombardment, which caused widespread destruction and casualties.
