RIYADH, May 13 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed a strategic economic partnership agreement in energy, mining, and defense. The signing came after talks at Al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh during Trump’s first foreign visit in his second term.
The agreement included several memoranda of understanding, the most important of which are:
– Cooperation in mining and natural resources between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the US Department of Energy.
– Modernizing the capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces through a memorandum with the Ministries of Defense.
– A memorandum of understanding between the Ministries of Justice.
– A space agreement between the Saudi Space Agency and NASA for the CubeSat project.
– An agreement between customs departments for mutual assistance.
– A letter of intent to enhance cooperation in ammunition, training, and maintenance for the armed forces.
– A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
– Developing the health capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces through a memorandum with the United States.
– An air transport protocol.
– Cooperation in medical research on infectious diseases.
