Over 80,000 people rally in Brussels to support Gaza

BRUSSESLS, May 12 (YPA) – Over 80,000 people staged on Monday in the Belgian capital, Brussels, in a massive demonstration against the ongoing Zionist aggression and the inhumane blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.

In the demonstration, the participants raised Palestinian flags and held banners reading “Stop the occupation,” “Stop the genocide,” and “No to supporting Israel with weapons.”

The participants expressed their protest by banging pots and pans, a symbolic message against the systematic starvation policy being imposed on the people of Gaza.

The demonstration was called for by more than 40 Belgian organizations and institutions, and members of the Union of Progressive Jews (UPJB) and representatives of various political parties also participated.

The protesters demanded that the Belgian government recognize the State of Palestine and impose concrete sanctions on the Zionist entity.
