HODEIDA, May 11 (YPA) – A Chinese ship has been repeated docking at the Hodeida port, west of Yemen, for more than ten commercial trips despite the failed US escalation.
Minister of Transport and Public Works in the Sanaa government, Mohammed Quhim, praised the crew of the Chinese container ship that arrived at the port, presenting commemorative gifts to the ship’s crew.
This confirmed growing international confidence in the port’s efficiency and ability to continue providing its maritime services.
During a visit, the minister, accompanied by the leadership of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, was briefed on the extent of the damage to the port’s docks, and the measures taken and efforts made in rehabilitation and restoration work to address the damage caused to the docks by the Israeli attack, in a move contributing to maintaining the continuity of maritime services and ensuring the flow of vital supplies.
Minister Quhim affirmed that the port of Hodeida would continue to provide services to all incoming ships thanks to the efforts of dedicated personnel, emphasizing that the difficulties and obstacles facing the port to be overcome.
