GAZA, May 11 (YPA) – The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip continues, claiming more martyrs and wounded in ongoing airstrikes targeting the remaining homes of Palestinian civilians, shelters, and displacement tents—all while famine spreads due to the blockade on humanitarian aid since March 2.
Ten Palestinians, including four children, were killed last night as Israeli drone strikes targeted displaced people’s tents in various areas of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
One of the strikes targeted a tent sheltering the Al-Alami family in the Al-Amal neighborhood west of the city, killing the entire family: Moatassem Mohammad Al-Alami, his wife Kinan, and their two children, Mohammad and Nada.
In a separate strike in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, another Israeli drone attack killed four members of the Al-Agha family: Abd Al-Salam Mahmoud Al-Agha, his wife Nasifa, and their young children Ayloul and Zeina.
Additionally, teenager Ahmad Mohammad Nasr Fahjan was killed and seven others injured when a drone targeted the Fahjan family’s tent south of Khan Younis. Another Palestinian was killed when a drone targeted a bicycle near the town of Al-Qarara, northwest of the city.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled the nearby town of Abasan al-Kabira, accompanied by heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.
In a related development, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor revealed that 14 elderly Gazans have died over the past week due to acute malnutrition, describing the situation as a “silent death wave” sweeping the besieged enclave.
The Geneva-based organization warned that the deadly living conditions, exacerbated by Israel’s comprehensive blockade, are no longer limited to the most vulnerable but are impacting the entire population of Gaza.
