Sanaa officially welcomes ceasefire announcement between Pakistan, India

SANAA, May 11 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Sanaa government welcomed the ceasefire announcement between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India, announced on Saturday.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this announcement an important step toward restoring security and stability to the two neighboring countries.

It stressed the need to resolve disputes through peaceful means and respect the principle of good neighborliness.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the efforts made to mediate between Pakistan and India by a number of Arab and Islamic countries.

It expressed hope that the coming period would witness concerted efforts aimed at achieving peace in the region, particularly ending the aggression and siege imposed on the Palestinian people by the usurping Zionist entity.
