25 Palestinian citizens killed, including journalist in Israeli bombing at popular restaurant in Gaza
GAZA, May 07 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces committed a new bloody massacre in the west of Gaza City, after targeting a popular restaurant on Al-Wahda Street, killing at least 25 citizens and wounding dozens, with a preliminary toll expected to rise, according to medical sources, on Wednesday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the bombing targeted a densely populated area containing several shops and popular stalls, amid a heavy presence of citizens who frequent the area daily, leading to a large number of casualties in a single moment.
Palestinian activists circulated video clips on social media documenting the moment of the bombing, showing horrific scenes of bodies and wounded scattered in the street, as residents attempted to rescue whoever could be saved and pull the martyrs from under the rubble and thick smoke.
The Government Media Office in Gaza reported that among the victims of the massacre was journalist Muhammad Subaih, bringing the number of journalists killed since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, to 214.
The Israeli occupation continues to target civilian areas in the Gaza Strip, committing repeated massacres amid Palestinian and international condemnations, met with international silence and an inability to stop the ongoing killing machine against the defenseless population.
