Dozens of protesters rally against deterioration of services in Aden

ADEN, May 04 (YPA) – Dozens of angry protesters blocked the main roads in Mansoura district of Aden city, south of Yemen.

In a rally, the participants protested against the deterioration of services and the collapse of the electricity supply.

Local sources reported that the protesters blocked main roads, including the 90th Street, and burned tires to disrupt traffic, as the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces moved to disperse the demonstrators.

These protests came in the context of the stifling economic crisis in the southern provinces, which has caused rising prices and the collapse of the local currency, exacerbating the suffering of citizens.
