LONDON, May 04 (YPA) – UK-based Save the Children called on the British government to take urgent steps to save Gaza children, including halting arms sales to Israeli occupation.
In a statement published on the “X” platform, the government held those responsible for violations accountable and taking concrete measures to end the occupation, in light of the blockade of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip for two months.
“During this period, only bombs and bullets entered Gaza, while airstrikes continued instead of allowing the entry of food, clothing, and tents that children need to survive,” it added.
The organization emphasized that “preventing the entry of humanitarian aid constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.”
It demanded an immediate reversal of this decision and the permission to allow aid into the Strip.
The organization affirmed that statements expressing concern mean nothing unless they would be followed by real action on the ground.
