SANAA, May 01 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecast on Thursday thunderstorms of varying intensity in several areas of Yemen.
in its weather forecast for the next 24 hours, the center affirmed that scattered showers may fall on part of Dhalea, Ibb, Dhamar, Mahweet, Hajjah, Amran, Saada, western Sanaa, Taiz, Al Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.
It indicated that the weather in coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of light rain in parts of the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern coasts.
Winds will be active, reaching maximum speeds of 30 knots in the southern Red Sea, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the western Gulf of Aden, causing high waves.
According to the center, the weather in desert areas would be clear and warm during the day, with temperatures ranging between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius and light to moderate winds.
It called on motorists to drive carefully on mountain roads as a result of reduced visibility due to rain and fog.
